Alternative fuels are intended to substitute carbon-intensive energy sources like gasoline and diesel in transportation. Many resources are available online concerning the subject, and the US Department of Energy and other federal and state government agencies publish many of them.

Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Coordinating Council
The Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Coordinating Council (EVICC) has been established pursuant to St. 2022 c. 179 § 81 to implement an electric vehicle charging infrastructure deployment plan.

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) has a Near-Term Electrification Needs map online. eRoadMap was created with support from truck and car manufacturers, fleet operators, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the DOE National Labs, RMI, and others.
